Michael Olise is ready to push for a move to Real Madrid as they Bayern Munich star prepares to tell the German giants that he wants out this summer
Real Madrid are ready to ramp up their efforts to sign Michael Olise - who reportedly wants to leave Bayern Munich and join the Spanish giants.
The Frenchman has just been part of his country's efforts at the World Cup and attention will now turn to his next move. The winger has enjoyed the best season of his career to date, scoring 22 times for the Germans, and has a contract at the Allianz Arena until 2029.
However Real are circling and want to land the 24-year-old, who has had his head turned whilst at the World Cup. He's been part of a France team that also includes Real stars Aurelien Tchouameni and Kylian Mbappe - who have helped in selling the club.
L’Equipe claim that Olise has privately communicated his wish to join Real to those around him. He sees them as the world's greatest club and the next step in his career despite Liverpool also being keen as they seek a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Bayern have zero desire to sell but Real are aware of Olise's desire to join them. They are not making a proper approach until Olise holds a meeting with Bayern officials to formally state his desire to leave however.
A key cog in the move could be Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian has previously been a key man for Los Blancos but clashed with Jose Mourinho last year - and he's just returned as manager. Vinicius' contract expires in 2027 and he's been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia - should that happen then Real's effort to find a replacement would ramp up.
The club's president Florentino Perez claimed during election time that he wanted to break the club's transfer record - which led to them bidding for Julian Alvarez. That was rejected by Atletico Madrid and, despite insisting he didn't want to pursue Olise, that could now change.

"I have some news for you," he previously told Spanish TV show Horizonte."On Tuesday or so, I'm going to make an offer to a major Champions League club for a great player. It would be the largest transfer fee Real Madrid has ever paid in its history."
He also added: "Olise is a great player but it's not Olise. It's not (Jeremy) Doku either. We're going to make a significant offer, at least around 150m. He needs to be a player from midfield who can go forward. And it's not (Erling) Haaland. The player is not from the Premier League. And the first thing we'll do is talk to the club."
