Former Villa player Agbonlahor shared his thoughts on rumors that Aston Villa are interested in signing Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe.

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT: "I saw him play against Aston Villa, Matty Cash is a top defender, but Cash was completely beaten by him."

"He plays very directly, his rhythm is fast and slow, he's quick, and his movements are sharp. I really hope Aston Villa sign him."

"If you look at his appearances last season, he could have scored more goals. He only scored 3 goals in 28 league games, and only 4 goals in 12 Europa League matches."

"Should he be more productive in terms of goals and assists? Yes, he should. But if there's a coach who can unleash his potential, it's Emery."

"If it were up to me, I'd want (Jonathan) Rowe and Summerville. Aston Villa needs wingers, and I think he fits the bill perfectly."

Jonathan Rowe received a red card in a friendly match for Bologna last week, once again demonstrating the "fire" that made him leave Marseille.

Agbonlahor added: "He's only 23, but he has a spark. Some coaches might need to curb his temper first. He fought with Rabiot at Marseille, and both were later sold by De Zerbi."

"I just saw a clip from a pre-season friendly last week where he was bumped by a defender, immediately rushed over and pushed the opponent down, and then stormed off the pitch. So he definitely has that edge, and maybe a coach like Emery can tame him. But he's definitely a top winger, and I'm sure many clubs will be watching him."
