According to Argentinian media outlet Olé, La Liga president Javier Tebas severely criticized FIFA president Gianni Infantino and the World Cup.

Tebas criticized various decisions made by Infantino during the World Cup. He stated: "Infantino must leave, he is destroying football. FIFA organizes things as they please, for their own benefit, not for football. So if they need a 27-minute break, they will do it."

Tebas also said: "The hydration break is a farce. We have it in La Liga too, but only when it's very hot. Stadiums in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta have air conditioning; I had to wear a sweater in the stands. This is a farce, a commercial break."
