According to Tuttosport, Arthur is still on Juventus' departure list, but his high salary makes a transfer difficult.

Arthur was one of the players signed during Paratici's tenure. For the €80 million midfielder, this summer marks his seventh pre-season at Continassa, or at least the sixth summer of being sidelined. Juventus acquired him in 2020 in a swap deal with Pjanic, but much has changed since then, except for him. The high-salary contract Paratici signed him to was later adjusted by Giuntoli through a technical renewal to reduce the amortization amount. Now, with only one year left on the contract, his annual salary of €5 million after tax places him among Juventus' top five highest earners. For Spalletti and the club management, Arthur is no longer in their plans, but finding a new club for him at such a price is by no means easy.

Compromise

Arthur has been through five Juventus managements. The player has always compromised on his athletic stagnation to maintain his high salary. Juventus originally signed him hoping that Sarri would get a midfielder suitable for his style of play.
