Previously, well-known journalist Sami Mokbel and other sources reported that Arsenal was preparing to submit a £70 million offer to Newcastle United for Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

However, according to a follow-up report by Newcastle beat reporter Lee Ryder, sources within Newcastle stated that a £70 million offer would not be enough to open negotiations for Guimaraes.

Reportedly, Newcastle's stance on Guimaraes remains unchanged – they do not want to sell the Brazilian international, and Guimaraes is expected to return to Newcastle's training camp for reporting.

The reporter concluded that it seems Arsenal would need to make an "extraordinary move" for Newcastle to consider selling Guimaraes.
