Salma Paralluelo has joined Lyon on a free transfer following her departure from Barcelona.

The 22-year-old could not come to an agreement with Barca over a new contract, marking the end of a four-year spell with the club after the expiration of her previous deal.

The Spaniard has now signed a four-year contract with Lyon, joining Caroline Weir, Maria Luisa Grohs and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd as new arrivals this summer.

Paralluelo made 131 appearances for Barca after joining in 2022/23 and scored 72 goals as she won 15 trophies with the Blaugrana.

She won three Champions League titles with Barca, including the 2025-26 edition after they beat Lyon 4-0 in the final; Paralluelo scored twice and provided an assist in the showpiece.

Since her Barca debut, only Alba Redondo (65), Claudia Pina (54) and Caroline Graham Hansen (53) have scored more league goals in the Spanish top-flight than Paralluelo (44).

Paralluelo has also directly contributed to the sixth-most goals in that time (59), as she now looks to make her mark in France.
