Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso oversaw an open training session at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on Sunday evening, marking his first public appearance since taking charge of the team.

The event attracted local and traveling media, with first-team players such as Palmer, João Pedro, and Colwill participating in the training. According to British media reports, the session began with the team gathering in the center of the field, followed by warm-ups and rondos, then a series of possession drills and crossing and shooting practice. Alonso's coaching staff was large and well-coordinated, but no special treatment was given to stars like Palmer; 16-year-old youngsters Regy Watson and Mahdi Nicole-Jazouli also received guidance.
Approximately 4,500 fans watched the training session, demonstrating familiarity with the squad and encouraging coaching staff members Willie Isa and Callum MacFarlane to wave to the stands. A group of Kazakhstani fans also attended, cheering for new signing, forward Satpayev.
Chelsea winger Geovany Kunda, who had been struggling with a minor injury, is expected to recover during the team's Asia tour next week. He did not travel with the team to Sydney but has been training under new manager Alonso. Another new signing, Emega, was also absent due to injury, with a longer recovery period. The Dutch international, who joined from Strasbourg, is expected to miss the remainder of the overseas tour but hopes to return before the start of the Premier League season.
