According to Goal.com, Stuttgart CEO Wehrle discussed Nick Woltemade's transfer to Newcastle United at the general meeting, and also took a jab at Bayern Munich.

The German giants had also actively pursued the striker at the time, and the two parties had even reached an oral agreement.

However, Stuttgart did not accept Bayern Munich's transfer fee offer, which was capped at 60 million euros. The club insisted that the 24-year-old player was worth at least 75 million euros. Ultimately, Newcastle United was willing to pay Stuttgart's asking price and finalized Woltemade's transfer with the Swabian team.

Wehrle emphasized at the meeting that Stuttgart had no intention of annoying Bayern Munich with its negotiation tactics; the real issue was the financial disagreement between the two sides. Bayern Munich's offer was simply not good enough, and Stuttgart's executives even said that Bayern Munich's terms for Woltemade were worse than "a butter pretzel."

In addition to the transfer topic, Wehrle also teased Bayern Munich about fan support. During the German Cup final last May, when the two teams met, almost only the voices of Stuttgart fans could be heard.

Wehrle said, "I didn't hear a single Bayern Munich fan," and his strong statement earned enthusiastic applause from the Stuttgart members present.

In addition to the sporting aspect, Stuttgart also announced record financial figures at the general meeting. In the 2025 fiscal year, the separated VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG achieved total revenues of 383.6 million euros and a profit after tax of 22.5 million euros. At the same time, equity increased to 83.4 million euros.

Wehrle stated when presenting the data: "Stuttgart's growth and profitability go hand in hand. We have simultaneously increased revenue, profit, and equity, which is a sign of healthy, sustainable growth."

The situation of this traditional club is also improving, with the number of members now rising to 135,000. Chairman Dietmar Allgaier announced that the club's total revenue was 7.2 million euros, with a profit of 1.4 million euros, and capital reserves increased to 1.6 million euros.
