WWE star Cody Rhodes stated on the show that Manchester City striker Haaland is a "top athlete" and suggested that the two could play out a "cousin" storyline.

Rhodes, who will challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam this weekend, was asked during his appearance on The Tonight Show which celebrities would be suitable for the WWE ring. Names mentioned included Tom Holland, Travis Kelce, Jason Momoa, and Manchester City striker Haaland.
Speaking about the Norwegian striker, Rhodes said: "He's a top athlete, and he has the right hairstyle. We could design a cousin storyline – everyone in wrestling is related, so he could be my 'cousin'."
Haaland led Norway to the quarterfinals of the World Cup this summer, during which his popularity in the US soared, with his social media followers increasing by over 32 million. Standing at 1.96 meters, Haaland is comparable in physique to The Rock and would not look out of place in a WWE ring. However, it is almost impossible for the Norwegian striker to actually abandon football for wrestling; he still has many years of his professional career and more goals to achieve.
WWE has a long tradition of inviting celebrities to participate, with Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather both having entered the ring and earned huge sums. NFL legend Tom Brady has also recently been rumored to potentially join WWE, and according to The Sun, he is expected to face Logan Paul. In the football world, Rooney once slapped his former Manchester United teammate Wade Barrett at ringside when Barrett was participating in a WWE UK tour.
