According to Goal.com, Real Madrid is close to officially announcing the signing of Ivorian player Diomande. With fierce competition in the new season's squad, Mourinho might field a very surprising starting eleven.

Mundo Deportivo states that Diomande's arrival could give Mourinho more speed and attacking power up front, and also intensify the competition for starting spots.

In goal, Courtois still seems to be the most likely to guard the net, with Lunin serving as the Belgian goalkeeper's primary backup.

In defense, Cucurella might play at left-back, Rüdiger and Militão partner at center-back, and Dumfries at right-back.

The biggest surprise in this starting lineup is that Konaté, who just joined Real Madrid, might not start. Despite a hefty transfer fee and rich experience, Mourinho still prefers Rüdiger and Militão in the central defense.

In midfield, Mourinho might deploy Valverde and Tchouameni as a double pivot, with Bellingham as an attacking midfielder. Mundo Deportivo predicts that despite his fame and experience, Bernardo Silva will at least start the season on the bench.

Upfront, Vinicius will continue on the left wing, Diomande on the right, and Mbappe at center-forward.

According to this vision, several stars might miss out on a starting spot, including Alexander-TAA, considered an important part of the new plan, and Rodrygo, whose future remains uncertain.

Bernardo Silva and Konaté will also face intense competition to secure a regular starting position. Mourinho seems prepared to make bold decisions to find balance in the starting lineup.
