I was just chatting to Danny Ward (Wrexham goalkeeper) for a bit. He said you're in great form, said you look full of energy. How do you feel? Is training going well? Is everything good, do you feel like you're in a good place?

Honestly, physically and mentally, I feel like I'm in the best shape of my career. So, yeah, just keeping my head down and continuing to train.

Obviously, you had a successful spell at Hull City last season, both as part of the team and individually, you had some very impactful moments. Do you think that really set a good foundation for you this season?

Yeah, absolutely, I think all the loan spells have helped me grow and made me who I am today. So, yeah, just keep my head down, work hard, and see where the future takes me.

That's great. Last night at the new kit launch, Liverpool and Wales legend Ian Rush said you are a very exciting breakthrough talent to watch. How do you feel when you hear something like that, especially from someone like him?

Yeah, someone like him is a role model I've always looked up to. He's obviously a great legend for the club and for Wales, so I really admire him, and his praise means a lot to me. As I just said, I just need to keep training, and everything will fall into place eventually.

That's right, that's a very pragmatic mindset. However, do you have any thoughts or have there been any discussions about what the future or this season means for you? Because as you mentioned, you've had a few loan spells, and you're in excellent form right now, and honestly, you look ready. Do you know what the next step is, or what this season will be like for you?

Not yet, no, honestly I don't know anything yet. But yes, I definitely feel ready and know that I can handle it. However, it's up to the manager's decision. For me, there's nothing I want more than to play for Liverpool.
