On July 30th, Bologna officially announced the loan of Roma forward Dovbyk.

Bologna Football Club officially announced the signing of forward Dovbyk on loan from Roma until June 30, 2027, with an option for a permanent transfer.

He is the first Ukrainian player in the club's history. Dovbyk is a modern striker who combines physical strength, impact, and diverse attacking abilities. Born in 1997, he began his professional career in his home country of Ukraine, first establishing himself at Dnipro, then making a name for himself in European football. He has a keen sense of goal, excels at making runs behind the defense, and is a constant threat in the box.

His outstanding performances in recent seasons have made him one of the most talked-about center forwards in Europe: in the 2023-24 season, he led Girona to an impressive third place in La Liga and a spot in the Champions League, showcasing diverse scoring methods and finishing the season as La Liga's top scorer with 24 goals. The following summer, Roma, under De Rossi, signed him; in his first season with Roma, he scored 17 goals across all competitions, but a long-term injury in the 2025-26 season prevented him from maintaining this record. With consistent performance, a strong presence, and excellent finishing ability, Dovbyk has been an attacking focal point, and joining the Rossoblu marks an important new stage in his career.
