Lazio president Claudio Lotito stated at a Senate hearing that Italian football needs fundamental changes, even on a moral level.

Lotito said: "Italian football needs fundamental changes, and I even believe this includes a moral aspect, but we must put some choices into practice. President Giovanni Malagò's presence is important because he can enumerate the problems that exist in football. We have the opportunity to respond to him and solve these problems. Together, we can, based on Senator Malesci's draft law, create a comprehensive arrangement to address some of the issues in football."

These were the views expressed by Claudio Lotito, Senator of Forza Italia and President of Lazio, during the hearing of the Seventh Committee (Culture and Cultural Heritage, Public Education, Scientific Research, Performing Arts and Sports Committee) in the Senate, attended by Giovanni Malagò, President of the Italian National Olympic Committee.
