According to British journalist Ben Jacobs, Arne Slot is expected to replace Jaïsselé as head coach of Al-Ahli Jeddah.

Ben Jacobs noted that with Jaïsselé set to join Newcastle United, Al-Ahli Jeddah is currently searching for a new manager. Slot, who is currently unattached, has become the Saudi club's top candidate.

Slot rejected a Fulham offer earlier this summer and is in discussions with the Dutch Football Association about coaching the Netherlands national team.

The former Feyenoord and Liverpool manager is seeking a contract with the Dutch FA through the 2028 European Championship, while the federation wants him to commit through the 2030 World Cup.
