ESPN understands that Newcastle didn't even qualify for the Europa Conference League last season. Guimaraes himself is unhappy with the current situation because Newcastle United has yet to accept Arsenal's latest offer: £75 million (approximately R$514 million, at current exchange rates). However, someone else is even angrier: the recently sacked Eddie Howe. The Brazilian has always maintained a good relationship with Howe. Before leaving, the English coach specifically expressed his dissatisfaction with how the club handled players. Arsenal are confident they can complete Guimaraes' signing by early August, without further delay. This deal is considered a "matter of honor" within the Gunners.
