ESPN: Vinicius' contract renewal talks to resume on Wednesday! If negotiations break down, Arsenal may sign him for 150 million euros

According to the latest news from ESPN, Real Madrid will meet with Vinicius' agent tomorrow to restart contract renewal negotiations, but the club has no intention of raising its renewal offer for him. 

Previous reports stated that after months of deadlock in the contract renewal talks with Vinicius, Real Madrid has put forward an improved contract with an annual salary of about 22 million euros.

Sources said Real Madrid has no plans to make concessions on the latest offer, and there is still a big gap between the player's asking price of about 30 million euros per year and the club's offer.

Sources said Real Madrid's chief scout Juni Calafat is pushing hard for Vinicius to renew his contract. A club source told ESPN that the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, while another source close to the player confirmed that the talks will take place this week.

Vinicius currently earns about 17.5 million euros per year, and his contract is entering its final year. If he does not renew his contract, he can leave the Bernabéu on a free transfer after the end of next season and sign a pre-contract with other clubs starting in January.

Sources told ESPN that the player and his agent believe this will be the most decisive contract in the 26-year-old Vinicius' career. They believe Real Madrid should properly recognize the contributions the star has made to the club since joining in 2018, including scoring goals in two Champions League finals.

ESPN previously reported that if Real Madrid fails to reach a renewal agreement with Vinicius this summer, the club will consider letting him leave. A source told ESPN that in this case, although the player only has one year left on his contract, Real Madrid is still expected to receive a transfer fee of about 150 million euros.
