Villa are preparing for a new bid from Arsenal for Ngoyo, while the club is also trying to renew the England defender's contract.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal listed Ngoyo as their top target for the centre-back position last month, but their initial offer was far below Villa's €60 million valuation for the 28-year-old. Ngoyo has remained on Arsenal's transfer radar since, and with two years left on his current contract with Villa, the club hopes to sign him to a new deal.
This summer, Villa have already lost two key players, Morgan Rogers and Tielemans, and Digne is also set to join Paris Saint-Germain. Villa manager Unai Emery said that if Ngoyo also leaves, the rebuilding efforts will become even more difficult. By selling Rogers (to Chelsea) and Tielemans (to Manchester United), Villa have recouped over €140 million, so the club is not under financial pressure regarding Ngoyo's transfer, and they are unlikely to let him go unless they find a high-quality replacement.
However, Ngoyo, like Guimarães and Vinicius, is a key transfer target for Arsenal—especially with Saliba facing a long-term absence—and the Gunners will not give up hope easily.
