Beijing Time (CEST) August 5th, after the friendly match where Internazionale drew 1-1 with Milan, Chivu was interviewed by Inter TV.

Aside from the result, are you satisfied with the team's performance?

"I saw improvement; the lads worked very hard, and we trained intensely over the past few days. At the moment, we're not too concerned about results; we just want to do our job, and the most important thing is to improve our physical condition. I'd say some players got good playing time, and even though they're not yet in their best form and their physical fitness hasn't fully recovered, we are satisfied with their performance," Chivu said.

Unlike the match against Manchester City, the team seemed to play better and better as the game progressed.

"At the beginning of the match, we might have struggled a bit with controlling space on the field. We made some mistakes with dribbling and passing. Our movements were a bit rushed, but the opponent's technique also put some pressure on us. As the game progressed, we gradually improved, found more passing lanes, and I think we played quite well."

How much do games like this help you prepare for the opponents you'll face in the league?

"Currently, our main focus is still on the players' overall fitness, health, and physical condition, sticking to the philosophy we've been trying to implement, and building on the strength the team has shown over the years."
