Deportivo Independiente Medellín officially announced that Colombian international Quintero has returned to the club.

Quintero is 33 years old, plays as a midfielder, and is a member of the Colombian national team. He has previously played for Pescara, Porto, Deportivo Independiente Medellín, River Plate, and Shenzhen.

In the 2025/26 season, Quintero was with River Plate, where he made 40 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists. River Plate subsequently terminated his contract. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €1.8 million.
