Many have long regarded Eric García as a "captain in waiting," and he is widely tipped to become first captain in the future, reclaiming some of the prestige lost in summer 2024. Balde and Ferran also have five seasons in the first team, like Eric García and Gavi, but the defender's prospects are lower, and the forward is likely to depart.
