According to Sport, after Ronald Araújo's departure, Barcelona has inquired about the Brazilian center-back Luiz Felipe from Real Betis.

Luiz Felipe's agent, André Cury, admitted in an interview with the Arab media outlet Erem News that Barcelona has shown interest in the Real Betis player, but he also made it clear that the current contact between the two sides has not progressed to the stage of a formal offer.

The agent stated: "Barcelona is indeed interested in signing Luiz Felipe, but we have not yet received any formal offer."

The Brazilian agent also revealed that the two clubs have been in direct contact, but Barcelona has not yet contacted Luiz Felipe's agent team.

He said: "Barcelona has not talked to me, but they have talked to Real Betis management about their interest in signing Luiz Felipe this summer. If Betis receives a good offer, I think he can leave."

Therefore, Barcelona's interest does exist, but it is still at a very preliminary stage. Barcelona has inquired about the terms of a potential deal and sounded out Betis's attitude, but currently, there are no formal negotiations between the two sides, and there is no formal offer on the table.
