On August 13th, according to renowned journalist Di Marzio, Brazil is interested in young Borussia Dortmund player Inacio, but the player has chosen Italy as his first preference.

Reportedly, Brazil is closely monitoring Borussia Dortmund's talented player, Samuele Inacio. The youngster, born in 2008, is currently awaiting a call-up from Mancini and continues to prioritize the Italian national team.

In Borussia Dortmund's 3-2 friendly victory over Arsenal, Inacio scored a goal, marking another milestone in his development. Born in Bergamo in 2008, he is the son of former Brazilian forward Piá. He came through the Atalanta youth academy before moving to Germany in 2024. Last season, he made his Bundesliga debut and scored a goal; in May, he extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2029. Additionally, he was Italy's top scorer during the qualification phase for the 2025 U17 European Championship.

It was that match against Arsenal that allowed Brazilian scouts to observe his performance firsthand – Inacio not only scored in that game but also displayed excellent form. This Saturday, they will again travel to Borussia Dortmund to watch the match against Roma, where they will also scout another player, Wesley.

Current situation – Inacio is currently with the Italy U21 team, and was previously called up by Baldini for two friendly matches with the national team (senior squad). However, to fully secure him for the Italian team, he must appear in an official FIFA-recognized match for the team coached by Mancini; the current goal is to achieve this as soon as possible, perhaps as early as during the September international break.

Brazil continues to monitor him and may even consider calling him up – for example, for the September friendly against Australia.

Despite this, the player's first choice remains Italy: Inacio is awaiting Mancini's call, and at least for now, he wishes to prioritize representing Italy.
