According to reports from AS journalist Jose Felix Diaz, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Barcelona are all monitoring AZ Alkmaar midfielder Smit, whom Atletico Madrid previously tried to sign in the winter transfer window.

Atletico Madrid reportedly tried to sign Smit in the winter window, but AZ Alkmaar management did not agree to sell. Currently, Smit is looking for his next club, with Mendes facilitating the move. Premier League clubs have been beckoning him, but the Dutch midfielder prefers to move to La Liga.
