According to sources, Arsenal's offer includes an €80 million fixed transfer fee plus the transfer rights for Viktor Gyökeres. As for personal terms, Arsenal will offer Alvarez a pre-tax contract worth approximately €25 million per year—double his current salary—and make him a core attacking piece in Arteta's squad-building plan. Whether the deal goes through depends on the player's consent, as Alvarez initially wanted to join a La Liga side and has never considered returning to English football.

This operation is proceeding in parallel with another matter in the English capital. According to COPE Radio, Atletico Madrid's sporting director, Mateu Alemany, traveled to London on Thursday to discuss Nicolas Jackson's loan move from Chelsea. The 25-year-old Senegalese forward has Premier League experience, and his arrival would strengthen Atletico's attack, which is currently weakened by injuries and uncertainty surrounding Alvarez's future. The current proposal is a loan with an optional purchase clause.
