During Barcelona's La Liga match against Elche in the second round, midfielder Gavi was forced to leave the field early because of an injury. This morning, local time, Gavi arrived at Barcelona's training ground for a medical examination.

Before being substituted, Gavi had been experiencing pain in his lower right knee for some time, caused by a collision while pressing in the penalty area. He continued to play until he had to leave at halftime.
