The Carabao Cup is back for the 2026/27 season, with every second-round tie live on Sky Sports!

On Wednesday, you can see Newcastle hope to clinch a first win under Matthias Jaissle when West Brom visit St James' Park, while Tottenham look to bounce back from a 3-0 humbling at Brentford at home to early Championship pace-setters Charlton.
David Moyes will make his first return to Deepdale since leaving Preston in 2002 when he visits with Everton, before Chelsea host Luton and Fulham likewise with AFC Wimbledon in Thursday's double header.
When is the Carabao Cup third-round draw?
The third round draw takes place live on Sky Sports following Preston's clash with Everton on Wednesday night.
Additional draw conditions will apply due to the expanded European competition calendar. Before Wednesday's main draw, there will be a pre-draw around 7.20pm, live on Sky Sports, to decide whether each Champions League and Europa League club will be at home or away. Those games will also be the first eight ties in the main draw later that night.
As UEFA competition fixtures cannot be rescheduled, and to enable the Carabao Cup to proceed within its agreed schedule without disrupting other league or domestic cup fixtures, the additional conditions will ensure that the eight clubs participating in the Champions League or Europa League cannot meet each other in the third round. This means the teams drawn in each tie will be able to fulfil the fixture in one of the allocated weeks.
Fixtures take place across weeks beginning September 7 and 14 with 32 teams involved - 23 winners from round two and the nine Premier League clubs competing in UEFA competitions.
