In the 2026/27 Champions League group stage draw, Real Madrid has been confirmed to play Internazionale at home.

Real Madrid defender Dumfries will soon face his former club. He joined Internazionale in the summer of 2021 from PSV Eindhoven and played for the Nerazzurri for five years before officially joining Real Madrid this summer.

Additionally, Real Madrid manager Mourinho will also face his former club. He managed Internazionale from 2008 to 2010, leading them to a treble in the 2009/10 season before joining Real Madrid.
