Official news: 34-year-old former Super League player Gudelj has joined Getafe on a free transfer, signing a one-year contract.

Getafe has officially announced that 34-year-old Serbian international Gudelj has joined the club on a free transfer, with both parties signing a one-year contract.

Gudelj has played in the Netherlands, Portugal, China (for Tianjin Teda and Guangzhou Evergrande), and Spain. In Spanish football, he spent most of his career at Sevilla, where he played for seven seasons.

During his time at Sevilla, Gudelj made 261 official appearances, becoming the club's fifth most capped foreign player. During this period, he won the Europa League twice, in 2020 and 2023.

In the 2023-24 La Liga season, Gudelj made 34 appearances, 26 of which were starts, accumulating 2,347 minutes on the pitch and scoring 2 goals.

Gudelj is also an important member of the Serbian national team, having earned 75 caps for his country. He participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and UEFA Euro 2024.
