David Ornstein, a renowned journalist at The Athletic, has reported that Tottenham has signed defender Porro from Manchester City on loan with a mandatory purchase obligation.

According to David Ornstein, Tottenham has acquired Porro on loan with an obligation to buy. The club will pay £2.5 million in loan fees, and if the team remains in the Premier League this season, a mandatory purchase fee of £22.25 million will be triggered.

As part of this agreement, the Argentine defender will sign a four-year contract with Tottenham, with an option to extend for an additional year.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed on Saturday that the 27-year-old Porro was among the players who requested to leave before the transfer deadline. Porro was absent from Tottenham's squad for their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United.
