Rudi Völler firmly believes that the German national team can experience a resurgence under Jürgen Klopp.

The DFB sporting director said during an amateur football weekend event in Frankfurt: "He has dedicated himself to this work with great enthusiasm and is very much looking forward to everything finally getting started. I believe he will do very well."

Klopp will soon face four consecutive international matches after taking charge of the German team. According to the UEFA Nations League schedule, Germany will play the Netherlands, Serbia, and Greece (twice) in late September and early October. Klopp replaced Julian Nagelsmann as Germany's coach in mid-August and will announce the new national squad on September 17.

Before then, the new coach will take a brief rest and recover for a few days. Völler said: "He had a very busy week and visited many clubs."

For the future, Völler hopes that the German team will be able to play "with great passion and full dedication." Germany was previously eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 16 after losing to Japan.

Germany U21 national team coach Antonio Di Salvo is also "very confident that Jürgen can have a good start." He has had many discussions with Klopp about future cooperation.

Di Salvo said: "We have had time to talk. Jürgen wants to understand the relevant workflows as soon as possible."
