Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen revealed no offers were made to sign Michael Olise this summer despite several reports linking him with a move away. 

Olise has gone on to become a standout player for Bayern since joining from Crystal Palace in 2024, helping them win the two Bundesliga titles and the DFB-Pokal. 

The 24-year-old has played 111 times for Bayern across all competitions, registering 92 goal involvements (45 goals, 47 assists). 

In fact, since joining Bayern, only Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe (101) and team-mate Harry Kane (123) have directly contributed to more goals across Europe's top five leagues. 

Bruno Fernandes (142) was the only player to create more chances than Olise's 123 in the continent's top five divisions last season, thus attracting huge interest. 

Real Madrid, fresh from enduring a second season without silverware and announcing the return of Jose Mourinho, had been linked with a deal for the France international. 

However, Madrid released a statement denying they had been in contact with Bayern regarding Olise, with Liverpool also linked with a move after letting Mohamed Salah leave. 

Dreesen revealed that no offers for Olise this summer were submitted to Bayern, while further highlighting his importance to Vincent Kompany's side. 

"That simply wasn't true [that Bayern received offers]," Dreesen told German broadcaster Sport1. "We've had no offers on the table.

"We've always said that we're not interested. So that is our exact position.

"Olise is extremely important for this team. He's a magician on the pitch, and this team functions so excellently together."

Olise has started the 2026-27 campaign by scoring three goals as well as providing one assist in Bayern's first four games across all competitions. 

Bayern's Champions League campaign begins on Thursday against Bodo/Glimt at Allianz Arena, with Olise aiming to continue his fine in the competition from last term.

He created 33 chances for Bayern in the Champions League in 2025-26, with only Madrid's Arda Guler creating more (34). 

Olise's six assists were the joint most by a Bayern player in a season, along with Hasan Salihamidzic in 2001-02 and Leroy Sane in 2021-22.

Dreesen was, however, coy when asked about Olise's long-term future. 

"In this business, making promises is a tricky matter," Dressen conceded. "Will we be able to keep him permanently? We will discuss that again next summer."
