The new Champions League season kicks off tonight. For the past two seasons, Paris Saint-Germain has won the title, and according to L'Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain's dream is to win three consecutive titles.

According to reports, starting with Wednesday's match, Paris Saint-Germain will be aiming for a third consecutive Champions League title. Only three clubs have achieved this in 70 years: Real Madrid (1956-1960 and 2016-2018), Ajax (1971-1973), and Bayern Munich (1974-1976).

To pursue this great achievement, Paris Saint-Germain has opted for stability on two fronts: stabilizing the main lineup and retaining the head coach. Relying on an unchanged core framework is an effective method: Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid used 9 of the same starters in the 2017 Champions League final as in the 2016 final; the starters for the 2018 final were again identical to 2017.

In the Champions League finals of the previous two seasons, Enrique fielded 10 identical outfield players, with the only change being the goalkeeper, from Donnarumma to Safonov. This season, the team's core lineup still appears to be unchanged.
