According to The Sun, Tottenham have failed to score in 4 consecutive matches following their 0-0 draw with Everton, with a combined goalless streak of 6 hours 47 minutes. Despite external concerns about the team's attacking performance, captain Micky van de Ven insisted that he would not call the current goal drought a "problem", believing the issue lies more in the final stages of attacks rather than psychological factors.

Tottenham have had a poor start to the season, currently sitting 17th. This summer, the club invested over £300 million in transfers, with their forwards' combined transfer fees totaling £416.8 million. However, Van de Ven said after the match: "I think we played a good match, we controlled most of the game, but we really need to score."

"I won't call it a problem because we created a lot of chances. Of course, we need to score, but I don't want to call it a problem."

When asked whether the lack of goals is a psychological barrier or a tactical issue, Van de Ven leaned toward the latter.

After the match, De Zerbi appeared particularly dissatisfied with Mathis Tel's performance. Tel came on in the 63rd minute as a left-sided attacking midfielder and later replaced Marmoush as a central forward with 13 minutes remaining. After the final whistle, television footage showed De Zerbi in heated discussion with Tel on the pitch, seemingly unhappy with the young French striker's lack of attacking awareness.

Nevertheless, Van de Ven remains confident the team can take positives from the Everton draw.

He said: "We feel good, it was a good match and an overall very strong performance, which is important, and we need to build on that."

"I think fans can certainly still be hopeful. If we can dominate opponents for most of the match like this, that shows a positive side. We need to make better decisions in the attacking third and start scoring. I think there's still a lot to take from this match."
