Chelsea have intensified their pursuit for Altinordu's Turkish goalkeeping prodigy Berke Ozer.

The 17-year-old has attracted the attention of Europe's top clubs as Manchester City and Barcelona  keep tabs on the youngster.

Ozer has already been called up to the senior national team for Turkey and has drawn comparisons to AC Milan's goalkeeping starlet Gianluigi Donnarumma.

As Thibaut Courtois continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are looking to the future and have offered Izmir club Altinordu a partnership in an attempt to lure him to England, according to The Sun.

The deal would see the Blues send players on loan to the Turkish club but Altinordu coach Huseyin Eroglu has revealed they've turned down the offer.

'Chelsea have been sending scouts to Izmir for Berke Ozer, and to take a look at our project,' Eroglu said.

'At our last meeting they said they could send us players on loan. But they seemed shocked when I said we had to politely decline.

'We are not interested in training up other clubs' players. Our mission is clear. Altinordu will develop local youths to create a complete academy-developed squad.'

Chelsea coaches Eddie Newton and Christophe Lollichon have also been keeping tabs on the Turkish wonderkid in recent months.

Newton said: 'We were impressed with Berke and other players [at Altinordu]. We'll continue to scout them.

'Kids from all across Turkey are being developed into the stars of tomorrow.'
