The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has provided a special plane (Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner) to Morocco to follow the players and bring them back to Tanzania.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports and Chief Government Spokesperson Gerson Msigwa, said President Samia has provided the plane that will transport the players, technical bench and leaders in the country led by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Paul Makonda, in recognition of the great respect they have earned for the Stars in this major tournament in Africa despite being eliminated by hosts Morocco in the round of 16, which they never reached.

Msigwa’s statement says that in addition to using the plane, President Samia has organized a luncheon event to be held on January 10, 2026 at the Magogoni State House in Dar es Salaam with the aim of officially congratulating them along with other sportspeople.

The flight is expected to depart Dar es Salaam on January 6, 2026 at 9:00 pm and arrive in Rabat, Morocco today at 4:30 pm, then depart Rabat, Morocco on January 7, 2026 and arrive in Dar es Salaam that day at 2:00 pm at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
