Mac Allister has revealed the steps he is taking to help Liverpool's young players develop following the Carabao Cup victory against Tottenham.

The World Cup winner has also explained how the next generation of players is performing in training and what steps he is taking to help them improve.
He said: "It's really important for the young players. They show every day in training that they want to be here. They train very, very hard and they have talent too. Seeing them perform as they did and get their reward, I'm happy for them.
"I'm very close to them, and sometimes I get angry too. I think it's because I want them to succeed. As I say, they're really good. They have talent, they have intensity and they understand what this club means.
"That's important and they will be very important for us this season."
Mac Allister has had a strong season after a difficult start last campaign. Despite Liverpool not offering him a new contract, he has made clear that he wants to extend his stay. He said: "I feel good at the moment.
"I feel the love of the fans, which is really important to me. As I say, I like being here and I will give my best."
"We've trained a lot on shooting," Mac Allister said. "Szoboszlai has that ability, it's a talent of his. I had some luck. I like getting into the box and scoring goals, so that's important. Goals are important for our confidence, and winning is important because that's what we want.
"We need to understand that this was just one match. Looking back at the matches against Ipswich and Atlético, we played well. But against Fulham, we weren't able to play the football we wanted. Now we need to make sure we're ready for the next match."
Speaking about the match, Mac Allister also told ITV: "I think we didn't play well in the last 20-25 minutes, but we were facing a very good team that knows how to control the ball.
"They were very intense, and we tried to stay aggressive. I think we defended quite well, and then we scored, which was very important."
