This week, Donnarumma was interviewed by Sky Sports, where he discussed the team's performance in the Manchester Derby and looked ahead to the new season. He praised the team's resilience after playing with ten men in the Manchester Derby and acknowledged that missing out on the Premier League title last season was disappointing. For the new season, the team's goal remains to win and compete for championships across all competitions.

Playing with ten men against all odds, Manchester City showed tenacious fighting spirit and ultimately won the match. How do you look back on the team's performance in the Manchester Derby?

"I really liked the performance of my teammates; it was simply fantastic. They were able to stay focused during the match and react in difficult moments – no one can forget that. We will give everything for this shirt, for this club that has given us so much and supported us so much. It has a glorious history, and we need to repay it."

Despite a good start to the season, some say this is a transitional year. How do you respond to that?

"I don't really like the word 'transition'. The club's goal is to win, and this team's goal is also to win. We will definitely do our best to achieve this. At the end of the season, we might win some trophies, or we might win nothing, but it's important to have the belief that we can win, give our all, and strive for every possible victory."

You, along with Rúben Dias, Haaland, and Guéhi, form the team's new leadership group. You have all won trophies at Manchester City and other clubs. How will you help the new players adapt?

"We have changed some players and brought in new ones. They are all top players, accustomed to playing on the biggest stages and handling various situations in the Premier League. It's never easy to join a new club, a new organization, and a new city at first, but they have adapted well, and we have made them feel comfortable."

"The existing players in the team have helped them a lot, and I think we will have a good season. Our goal is to go all the way and compete for all possible honors – the Premier League title, the Champions League, and the two domestic cup competitions."

Last season, you had a chance to win the Premier League title but ultimately fell short, and Arsenal became champions.

"It's tough, but that's football, that's life. You're not alone; there are other strong teams, especially in the Premier League. If you don't win, of course there will be disappointment – but it's understandable because there are other teams competing, just like in the Champions League."

"It's important to strive for victory in every match. Of course, our goal is definitely to win, but other teams also want to win. You have to compete, you have to work hard, you have to do your best, because the history of this club demands it."

So, will Manchester City and Arsenal still be competing for the top spot next May?

"I don't know. Only four games have been played in the Premier League so far this season. Our focus must now be on training and striving to win every match. That must be our goal, and only time will tell if we can achieve it in the end."
