Free agent midfielder Dele Alli has been offered the chance to train with League Two side Barnet after being spotted using their training facilities privately.

The 28-year-old has been without a club since his contract with Italian side Como was mutually terminated in September 2024. Alli was photographed conducting individual training at Barnet's "The Hive" training ground and posted clips of his shooting practice on social media.

Barnet manager Dean Brennan confirmed that the club would welcome Alli to join team training. Brennan stated: "We have many players whose contracts have expired training with us. If Dele wants to come and train with us, the door is open. He can use our facilities to regain his fitness and participate in team training."

Brennan added that it "would be foolish to turn him away" if Alli wished to use Barnet as a platform to restart his career. Currently, there is no formal trial arranged between the two parties, and the club has not made a contract offer.

Alli made only one official appearance during his spell at Como. He came on as a substitute against Milan in March 2024 and received a red card just 10 minutes later for a foul on Loftus-Cheek. After this incident, he was no longer part of Cesc Fàbregas' first-team plans, and the two parties eventually terminated the contract early.

The England international, who has earned 37 caps for the senior national team, posted a video on TikTok of himself completing shooting drills at Barnet's training ground. He is currently seeking a new club while working to regain his match fitness.
