According to the Evening Standard, Al Nassr forward Félix has stated his intention to return to Europe and play in the Champions League again.

The Portuguese versatile player joined Chelsea on loan from Atlético Madrid in January 2023, before signing permanently the following year. The deal was reportedly worth £46.3 million in total, including add-ons, and Félix signed a seven-year contract with Chelsea.

However, Félix struggled to establish himself in the first team and was loaned to AC Milan six months later, before being sold to Saudi club Al Nassr, where he became teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané.

Félix made 40 appearances across two spells at Chelsea, scoring 11 goals and providing 2 assists.

Eighteen months after joining Al Nassr, Félix has scored 30 goals, re-established himself in the Portuguese national team, and regained his confidence. He is now aiming to return to one of Europe's top five leagues.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, Félix said: "I am happy at Al Nassr. This will be my second season, and I will be 27 at the end of the season. I plan to go back to Europe, but maybe not right away."

"I don't know if it will be at the end of this season or the end of next season, but I really want to go back to Europe, play in the Champions League again, and compete there."

"It's always different. Playing in Europe, playing in the Champions League, playing against the best teams in the world—it gives you extra motivation, and that's what I'm thinking about now."

Félix did not name the club he wants to join most, but he ruled out a return to Real Madrid due to his history with Atlético: "I would be the biggest traitor in football history."

Félix also stated that he still has goals to achieve at Al Nassr, including helping Cristiano Ronaldo score his 1,000th career goal. The legendary forward has currently scored 979 goals.

Félix said: "I've thought about this. Every time I get the ball, I see if I can pass it to him. That goal will go down in football history, and it would be cool to be on the field to witness it."

"Few people in football can say they've had this experience of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo. I played with him in the national team, and now I'm his teammate at Al Nassr. It's truly an honor."

"We grew up watching Ronaldo, idolizing him and seeing him as a role model, and now I can share many moments with him. Even last year's title was very special. We have to enjoy it to the fullest, because we know it won't last forever, but as long as it does, we'll be here."
