In an interview with Charla Podcast, Fred praised Erik ten Hag's tactical abilities but heavily criticized his man-management and the way he interacts with players at Manchester United. He also discussed the reasons behind Ronaldo's departure and shared an anecdote from his time working with Mourinho.

Fred played for Manchester United for five seasons before joining Turkish club Fenerbahce ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Reflecting on his experience working with Ten Hag, Fred said, "Ten Hag's tactical level is very high, but when it comes to dealing with players, he's terrible."

According to Fred, Ten Hag frequently clashed with several key players in the squad, causing constant friction within the team.

On these conflicts, Fred stated, "He argued with everyone. He argued with me, with Ronaldo, with Casemiro, and with Rashford. He didn't let me play, and sometimes that was very stressful."

Fred also accused Ten Hag of showing favoritism toward certain players and explained how his relationship with Ronaldo deteriorated.

Speaking about Ten Hag's player selection and his conflict with Ronaldo, Fred said, "Under Ten Hag, only Dutch players could play. He's a coach who creates cliques. But tactically, he's one of the best coaches I've ever worked with. He demands the whole team to run more, but Ronaldo was getting older by then. He dropped Ronaldo from the starting lineup, and then conflict erupted between them..."

Fred also recalled the moment when Ten Hag announced Ronaldo's departure and the team's reaction after learning about Ronaldo's interview with Piers Morgan.

Recalling this experience, Fred said, "Before the match, Ten Hag told us that Ronaldo would be leaving. Well, there was nothing we could do. After the match, when the plane landed, the club's media staff turned off airplane mode on their phones and saw the interview he gave. He was very critical of the club in that interview. Then everyone exploded, the atmosphere was chaotic, people were walking around. It was crazy, he said things he shouldn't have, and the whole week was a mess."

In contrast, Fred praised the management style of two other managers he worked with at Old Trafford—Solskjaer and Mourinho. Mourinho brought him to Manchester United in 2018, and they later worked together again in Turkey.

About Solskjaer, Fred said, "Solskjaer is very good at dealing with players, but when it comes to coaching, he has assistant coaches to help. He united the team."

Speaking about Mourinho, Fred said, "Mourinho is a great person and also very funny. Recently, I worked with him again at Fenerbahce, and he's the one who brought me to Manchester United. Before Ancelotti's name was mentioned, there were rumors that he might coach the Brazil national team. I showed him the rumor, and he told me, 'No way, I'm not going anywhere, I'll stay here to coach my club.' He's truly a very good person."
