According to Mundo Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano announced in a statement on Saturday that the Vallecas stadium had been broken into and vandalized, with several areas, including the presidential box, damaged. The club stated that the situation has been reported to the authorities and an official complaint will be filed on Monday.

This was the first time the Vallecas stadium reopened for a Rayo Vallecano match this season. In July, the Community of Madrid suspended the relevant concession rights, citing serious issues with the stadium based on an audit report. This week, new disagreements emerged between the two parties, with the Community of Madrid favoring a public-private partnership model to manage the stadium while still allowing the club to use it.
Before the stadium reopened, Rayo Vallecano issued a statement saying: "Is this what the head of sports affairs calls a 'public-private partnership' for the Vallecas stadium? Rayo Vallecano publicly condemns that tonight someone broke into the Vallecas stadium, our club's home, and deliberately vandalized the presidential box, while the exterior walls of our stadium continue to suffer damage."
The club further stated: "These images are a clear consequence of incited hatred, and they also demonstrate how the 'public-private partnership' mentioned by that official is truly understood. This is another incident in the campaign of harassment, coercion, and intimidation that our president, his family, and all of Rayo Vallecano have endured since July 28."
Rayo Vallecano said the club has repeatedly condemned such actions and compared the stadium vandalism to the destruction of Madrid's "Bear and the Strawberry Tree" statue earlier this week.
In the statement, the club also criticized the Community of Madrid government's decision to suspend the stadium's concession rights. Rayo Vallecano claimed that without any intervention by the regional government this summer, the club has demonstrated the stadium fully complies with all relevant regulations and refuted the audit report that served as the basis for suspending the concession rights.
Rayo Vallecano also accused certain public officials of "collaborating and interacting with extremist fan groups." It should be noted that these are allegations made by Rayo Vallecano in their statement, and the report does not include a response from the Community of Madrid government regarding these accusations.
Despite the vandalism, Rayo Vallecano confirmed that the Vallecas Trophy match against Italian side Cagliari would proceed as scheduled. This tournament is being held again after a seven-year break. The club stated that these incidents would not deter them and that they would continue to pursue their objectives this season following the event, aiming to secure a sixth consecutive season in LaLiga for the first time.
Rayo Vallecano concluded: "This incident has been reported to the authorities, and these images have been submitted. We will file an official complaint on Monday, along with surveillance footage. The club trusts that the authorities will act swiftly and decisively, as we believe that breaking into the club's premises is unacceptable."
