After Harry Kane scored twice to help England to a convincing 7-0 away victory against Croatia in the third round of the UEFA Nations League group stage, he spoke to official UEFA media.

Harry, that was an incredible, fantastic victory tonight – seven goals away against Croatia. It's always an extremely difficult game to play away against them, and today's performance was truly impressive.

Yes, undoubtedly it was one of our best performances. Croatia is absolutely a top team, and from the first minute we set a very high standard in our execution today, whether we had the ball or not. We made it a physically intense battle, pressed high, won the ball back, and in the final third our decision-making on passes and shots was ruthless and efficient. So, credit to the lads.

You know, it's been a while since we've been away from home for training and away matches, and in those situations it's easy to become complacent or lose focus. But I think today's brilliant performance will give us even more momentum and confidence going into the final game.

It was a clear 7-0 result,so do you think this could be one of England's most complete and comprehensive performances in a long time?

I would say yes. I've spoken about it before, and this week I've emphasized that we need to deliver a full90 minutes of high-quality football.I think during the World Cup we had many brilliant moments – sometimes we showed extremely good 45-minute performances, or like against Spain previously, a very impressive 30-minute tactical display. We certainly had many excellent periods, but we hadn't shown a truly complete and high-quality performance over a full match until now.

Today's match was an extremely complete overall performance. From the first minute through to the end of added time, whether we controlled the game with the ball or pressed without it, we maintained absolute dominance. And I think, you know, if we can bring the intensity and physical demands of international football up to a high-intensity, physically demanding, competitive level similar to the Premier League, there aren't many teams in football today that can match our rhythm and pace.

One final question – after this big victory, what are England's next steps and goals?

Yes, obviously it's about finishing this Nations League group stage strongly. Then of course there are two extremely difficult matches in November. So yes, when you have such a convincing victory, it's absolutely not the time to get carried away or lose focus. In a few days we're back at Wembley for another match, so we need to take the same energy and the same high-quality performance we showed today into the next game and hopefully finish this camp with another victory.
