According to TMW, Sneijder stated at the Trento Sports Festival that he does not care about not winning the Ballon d'Or, as he won the Champions League with Internazionale.

In 2010, Internazionale completed a treble, but Sneijder did not win the Ballon d'Or, nor did he even make it into the top three, ultimately finishing fourth. This result has always sparked controversy among fans and industry insiders. Sneijder said, "I don't give a damn about the Ballon d'Or; I won the Champions League with Internazionale!"

The Internazionale team that won three trophies, including the Champions League, remains unforgettable. Sneijder also recalled an amusing anecdote about then-captain Zanetti: "After every training session, everyone would go home and meet again the next day. After we won, we would have a few beers after the match. But Zanetti would only ever drink water. After winning the Champions League, he switched to Coke and ended up getting drunk on Coke (laughs).
