Müller has released his monthly newsletter, discussing his contract extension with Vancouver Whitecaps, October away fixtures, Klopp's start as Germany coach, and the players he believes are the world's finest.

Here is the full text of Müller's email:
Hello everyone, welcome to my monthly newsletter.
My contract extension in Vancouver, October trips, Klopp's first international matches, and the players I think deserve recognition as the world's best. There's plenty to report.

Ups and downs – but fighting for top spot remains our priority
Our situation has been quite mixed lately.
After winning four consecutive cup titles, our cup run ended in the semi-final against Montreal.
While painful, there's nothing to do but move on.
We've led the Western Conference for a few weeks now, so things are still on track. That said, I'm not entirely satisfied with our performances and results. We had big ambitions this season, but our form has been inconsistent. Particularly at home, our form has been shaky since the World Cup.
Personally, I've been quite good at scoring. Some have even said I've been dynamic.

Winning the MLS Western Conference championship remains our goal.
We're three points ahead of second place with eight matches remaining. It seems close, but it's not that simple. We feel optimistic 😉
The Supporters' Shield is another matter. It goes to the team with the most points in the regular MLS season, regardless of conference.
We need help from other teams. Recently, we've dropped too many points to Nashville SC.
The MLS Cup, of course, can only be decided through the playoff bracket.
In October, the team will play five consecutive away matches: Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Austin, and Colorado. It starts in Chicago on October 6. However, I probably won't face my former teammate Lewandowski. As far as I know, he's with the national team.

Contract extension with Whitecaps
More news from Vancouver: I've extended my contract with Whitecaps. I'm thrilled to continue playing through the 2027 season.
I'm in excellent condition, even with the demanding schedule. I feel great, and my performance data is strong. Everything is going smoothly.
For now, though, it's not the time to think about the future. I'm completely focused on the final stretch of the season and the MLS Cup.
Klopp as coach: A challenging start, a smart approach
Our new national team coach has now led the team through three matches. This completely fresh start is genuinely challenging.
Klopp has called up 44 players with the aim of extensive testing. I believe fans and supporters can understand this approach, but it's harder than you'd think to set aside preconceptions about results and match performance when evaluating games – whether good or bad. While the German Football Association has never done this before, I think it's excellent to give many players a chance to prove themselves from the start.
Only this way can Klopp truly determine who he wants in his future squad. Because that's what matters: not who must play because they're a superstar, but who fits best with the style of football the national team wants to play.
I'm really looking forward to tonight's match against Greece. Come on, lads.
Olise's performance and my view on the world's best player

What's happening at Bayern Munich?
I watched their most recent match and, naturally, focused mainly on Olise's performance. His ability to score from outside the box isn't new, but every time I see a goal like that, I still enjoy it immensely.
This brings us directly to a big question: who will be the world's best football player? For me, two candidates have impressed me most with their individual performances: Olise and his exceptional World Cup partner, Mbappé.
Why them?
Because they combine flair with goal-scoring threat. Specifically, with their refined technique and powerful execution, they complete matches efficiently while making it look effortless.
In my opinion, a performance like that deserves the world's best player award. It also needs a touch of magic.
That's it for now. I hope we'll have good results on our MLS away trip. And I hope everyone enjoys this golden autumn.
Thank you for your continued support, take care.
Your Müller.
