The Owena Whales suffered defeat on matchday 25 and the midfielder wants his team to get back to winning ways this weekend

The Owena Whales were defeated 3-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday, leaving them in 17th position in the Nigeria Professional Football League table.

However, the former Al Merreikh playmaker is confident that their form will improve.

"We felt that we'd turned a corner so, of course, we feel like we've been knocked out of our stride. Better days lies ahead for us," Ojo told Goal. 

"The next couple of weeks will be a big test in our character but I believe we have what it takes. We need to fight for everything and show the desire to get back on track. We're not little kids, we're experienced professionals and need to accept responsibility.

"We'll dig deep and go again this weekend – that's the focus now. We can't dwell on the defeat to Pillars too much and we go into the game at home to Gombe United with as much confidence as possible."
