"I think it was a positive move," Højlund said about joining Napoli. "I remember last summer, I was in a difficult situation at Manchester United. I felt they no longer wanted me there. I had to assess my options, and Napoli was clearly the right decision. I had positive conversations with Conte and Manna; so far, this experience has been wonderful."

Højlund then addressed the AC Milan interest: "Did Rossoneri want me? Not really. I spoke with several clubs while looking for an opportunity. AC Milan certainly has a glorious history, but when I heard Napoli wanted me and Conte called, I didn't hesitate."
