"I always had the expectation, goal, and dream of returning to the top flight of German football," said RB Leipzig head coach Martín Demichelis upon his arrival in Argentina at the start of the international break.

Demichelis: "Obviously, I grew as a player during my time at CA River Plate, but that growth didn't stop there—at 22, one is still just a kid. It was Germany that allowed me to undergo that transformation as a player and as a person.

Later, the club placed its trust in me, allowing me to pursue coaching training. I always had a desire, a goal—or rather, a dream—to return to the Bundesliga or at least to be involved in it.

Now, this great club has given me that opportunity. I'm very happy here, and I hope to do a good job. I believe I am the first Argentine coach to lead a Bundesliga team, so I hope this can open doors for other Argentine coaches."

Demichelis has managed RB Leipzig for six matches, recording three wins and three losses. However, he is facing scrutiny after losing three of his last four games.
