According to the latest report from the Manchester Evening News, Maresca will not be taking a vacation during the international break, but his players can.

Unlike Guardiola, Maresca will not be using the international break to travel abroad and enjoy the sun, as his children are still in school. His upcoming weeks off will be spent in Manchester, coordinating school drop-off and pick-up times.

However, Maresca will not be putting players not on international duty through extra training. Following the custom of the past decade, as long as players return to training before the match against Liverpool and maintain their competitive form, they are free to arrange their schedules during this break.

There are usually not many Manchester City players without international commitments. Foden and Lewis were not selected for England, Nunes was unexpectedly left out of Portugal's squad, Allan has not yet received a call-up for Brazil's senior national team, and Doku withdrew from the Belgium squad due to a recent injury.

All the aforementioned players will receive two weeks of vacation and can arrange their time freely. The club trusts them to balance rest with maintaining their fitness. Some players may visit the City Football Academy next week for recovery and rehabilitation training, but no collective training will be arranged.

Maresca will resume training with these players a week before the match against Liverpool, while those on international duty will return to Manchester according to their respective schedules. It is expected that everyone will be back with the squad by Thursday of that week, ready for the Sunday away match at Anfield.
