Former Brazilian national team player Felipe Melo explained in a video that Portugal's national team's treatment of Ronaldo differs significantly from how Argentina's national team treats Messi, and Ronaldo subsequently liked the video.

In the video, Melo said: "In my opinion, it's true, and I agree with Paulo's view: the attitude of Portuguese players toward Ronaldo compared to Argentine players toward Messi is very different.

You know, I see that opponents show Ronaldo much more respect – maybe I'm wrong, but that's the intuitive impression being conveyed, right? I see opponents treating Ronaldo with immense respect. The young man who scored yesterday, the Napoli striker (Højlund), turned into a starstruck fan after the match, and all because Ronaldo is his idol. In contrast, this respect is missing within the Portuguese national team. I think that's completely wrong.

Because in this Portuguese team, no one can compare to Ronaldo.

You understand? You really can't do that! You can't just let the greatest player in football history leave as if nothing happened. Absolutely not, that's unacceptable!

He just left, and nobody went to comfort him.

Absolutely not! That's completely unacceptable..."

Following this, Ronaldo's account appeared in the likes of this video post. The video was titled: "No one in the Portuguese team can compare to Ronaldo. Felipe Melo speaks about Ronaldo's current situation in the Portuguese national team."
