According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is monitoring Fiorentina right-back Dodô, the 27-year-old Brazilian international, who is entering the final year of his contract and could join on a free transfer in the summer of 2027.

During the international break, medium and long-term transfer market trends continue to attract attention. Barcelona is at the center of several rumors as the club evaluates available targets in the global transfer market to act when necessary in future windows. A right-back from Italy has now emerged as a potential free agent acquisition due to being in the final season of his contract. That player is Dodô.
La Gazzetta dello Sport lists the 27-year-old Brazilian international as a "low-cost" option for several top clubs, including Barcelona. Dodô started in the first two Serie A rounds but was subsequently benched, largely attributed to his contract situation, as negotiations over a renewal have stalled and Fiorentina has responded accordingly.
From Barcelona's perspective, defense lacks sufficient depth, particularly at right-back. Currently, Eric García primarily fills this role, with Jules Koundé, both centre-backs, also deployed there when needed. On the left flank, Barcelona often uses right-footed players—João Cancelo and Héctor Fort—both offering strong versatility. Alejandro Balde, Barcelona's most natural left-back, has been the third or fourth option under coach Hansi Flick for some time, with Flick occasionally preferring to move Gerard Martín, now playing as a centre-back, back to his natural full-back position.
The Italian report also indicates that, besides Barcelona, Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan are interested in signing Dodô in the summer of 2027. The 1.66-meter full-back possesses strong attacking attributes.
